Korean's Seaweed 🇰🇷

I became aware of seaweed only later in life. I mean I know sushi and whatever Asian rice rolls but I do not know what is the green thing is called. And I do not know that I can eat is as a snack. And when I do, I cannot stop myself from eating. Price is the only thing that is holding me back. Price is the reason why I do not have a stock right now. At the photo is one of the Korean seaweeds brand you can find in UAE market. I got this one from Waitrose Dubai Mall. One bag has 3 packets of these for only 7.00AED and you have to consumed it as soon as possible because if you don't even if it is not yet expired, the taste can be funny.

A Senior Love Story

Korean's Crispy Roll

I found another Asian snack that I like. It is called Neo Crispy Roll and it is Korean. Unfortunately for me this is expensive as it cost around 11.00AED and it is available only in Waitrose Dubai Mall. Here are the photos of the said snack:

It has 3 variants but I have taken only two. Cream cheese and cheddar cheese. It is like a wafer or rice roll with filling inside. Writing this post as one of the purposes of this blog is to share whatever Asian snacks and ingredients I find in this country. Ciao!

Goodbye #67: Pink Bikini

Saying goodbye to another item of mine. I will continue to do so until I reach my goal. I would have spend a day or two to finish it but then I have to go to work and run errands when I am not working. I purchased it years ago. 5 years ago maybe? When I was still stupid when it comes to my finances. You see in a year I barely go swimming and yet I accumulated a dozen or so bikinis. Please do not be a hoarder like me. Hoarding is never fun.

I am more determined than ever to keep on going with my goal. Because every single day I always find cockroaches to kill inside the house. In the past people judged me as someone who does not clean the house on daily basis hence the cockroaches. But I do not know anymore what else to do to make the place cockroach free. That in the end the only solution I can think of is keep on reducing the items I own and even the food. So they will not have any space to hide. But another concern is I am not alone in the house. Maybe I will deal about it once I am done with my own stuff.

Goodbye #66: Being Human Pink Pants

Time flies. Only back in June 2015 when I found out the Splash in Dubai Outlet Mall that offers the most affordable jeans in UAE (or so I thought) and I was still in my hoarding phase. I purchased far too many. There was a point that I already have at least 90 jeans. What did I achieved? Nothing. Nada. Just regrets. And now February 2017 I celebrate my 5 months of not buying any clothing. Feels good to liberate myself from hoarding. Will probably keep on raiding my closet and drawers for months to come.

Goodbye #65: Jennyfer Gray Sweater

Goodbye, Jennyfer gray sweater and thank you for the memories. If there is any. I purchased this more than a year ago because someone told me to. As this is for winter. But then the winter in the UAE is not that much cold. As a matter of fact we never even once had to switch off the AC at work or at the flat. And I never get the chance to wear any of my winter outfits. I mean the thick ones. I go to office wearing something else aside from the uniform but it's the kind of top you wear over your bikini. And I told myself that in order to achieve that owning only 100 items or items that would fit into two luggage  only, whatever winter outfit I will not be able to use until February ends has to go. Whatever clothing I won't be able to wear (not the winter clothing) until March ends has to go.

Goodbye #64: HM Blouse

I am still very far from my goal of owning only 100 items. I do not know when it will happen. But I am not pressuring myself much. At least shedding an item per day would help. As much as I would like to stay at home and focus at decluttering, I can't as I have to work. Today I am saying goodbye to this cute H&M blouse and at the same time thanking it for the memories. It is easier for me now to keep on letting go of my clothes. As I do not know yet what kind of outfit I would want to keep until my old age. Probably because of the extremely hot weather we are experiencing here in the UAE for a long period of time each year. I want clothes that are not showing skin but at the same time does not feel hot on the skin.

Goodbye #63: Hongkong Shirt

As I make my journey to minimalism, I find it easier to let go of my things as compared to the first few weeks when I started. I find myself being able to let go of things in spite of them having a sentimental value. And almost everyday I am letting go of something dear to me. Like for this post I am saying goodbye to a Hongkong shirt that has been given to me as a souvenir. I had it for the last 5 years. But as I thread my way into having 100 items only I no longer find it suitable to be included in the said numbers. And how I kept things from the past just because they were given to me. I appreciated the gesture but it will be more meaningful to hand it down to someone who might need it more than me.

Goodbye #62: Orange Lee Cooper Shirt

I'm really focusing on my closet. As I plan to use to closet to put all my 100 Items. Meaning all my earthly possessions. Including the shoes and gadgets. As I have said my clothing inside the closet can now breathe but still there's no space for other items. I will keep on getting rid of my clothing. Like I am saying goodbye now to my Lee Cooper orange shirt. It still fits me but I have 3 shirts with the same pattern but in different colors. Who knows maybe after a month or two I might able to bring myself to let go of them too. This journey to minimalism actually takes time especially if you are a recovering hoarder like me.
