Baby Foot Lavender and Baby Foot Men

Back in 2015 when I found the Baby Foot in Carrefour. No one told me about it and I did not read about it in the internet. I was curious as who would not want to have a soft feet anyway? So I bought one which I wore for 2 hours and my foot peeled in a week. 

I was not able to buy again because it is too expensive for me. And I let my feet on its natural state of being dry since then. And fast forward 2017 when I became a regular buyer from Ebay and I purchased Rolanjona from China thinking that it is a cheap alternative of Baby Foot but I was wrong.

But I want to have a soft feet at least before I die. I mean can I not have this little pleasure in life? And so without blinking I finally made a purchase again from Carrefour. At least I am sure that they do sell legit items than Ebay. Please don't get me wrong I do not have problems with my other purchases from Ebay. Just except for this one. That does not work.

And here are my Baby Foot from Carrefour. The white one is for women. With lavender scent that I failed to notice upon using. Price is 62.00AED while the black which is meant for men is 68.00AED. The old one I had to wear for two hours. This new one I had to wear for only one hour.

In the old one my foot peeled right away and kept on peeling for several days. In this new one my foot started peeling after 2 days. But I will not complain nor bash the product. Besides I was not able to clean thoroughly my foot before using the product and did not set the alarm. So I was at fault if the peeling is slow. But I still have my faith on it. And this product is really working unlike the cheap one I got from Ebay. It says that peeling will last up to two weeks. Now I do not know if it is safe to apply it again after that period of time. I will ask Google or experiment with it.

I know for a year now I had been talking about being a minimalist and frugal. Maybe an extreme frugal will not spend money on this. Anyway one can live with dry foot. Maybe the frugal will just make a DIY. But I am not really good in that. My DIY body scrub is still in the bathroom for 3 months now. 

But lately I had been really down. And thinking a lot about life like I always do. I still believe in concept of minimalism and frugal but then it is not something like one size fits all. It will really vary on each person. For me as long as it will not break my bank account then it is okay. Maybe I will fully stop buying items when I no longer have a job. But for now while I still work I want to reward myself for little things like this. 

Also I do not know how much it would cost if I will go to salon or clinic for the same procedure but I predict the amount will be higher than amount of Baby Foot. I might do it twice a month if allowed until I achieved desired results. I am planning on going to Japan but I cannot think of what products I can stock up. As after all the allowed baggage will only be 20 to 25 kilos. 

Nissin Cup Noodles

Last Friday I saw this Nissin Cup Noodles Tom Yum in Carrefour. In the Japanese section. But it is made in Indonesia. Bought it out of curiosity. My verdict? Mama from Thailand is way much better.

Mister Potato Chips

Been seeing Mister Potato crisps in grocery stores without buying one as I'm used to Pringles. Finally Carrefour had Mister Potato on sale and so I bought it. Verdict? Sorry as much as I support Asian products but this is not for me. I prefer the soft texture of Pringles over this.

Hush Puppies Sandals

I may have shared this photo before but I saw it again on my PC so before deleting it I thought of sharing it again. I think the name of the shop in Ajman City Centre was Shoe Citi. And it is temporarily closed due to renovation. I got this Hush Puppies sandals on sale and on a whim. Meaning the time of purchased I do not really need it. Original price was 380.00AED but I got it for only 150.00AED. They need to close the shop the next day so everything must go. Main factor why I bought it was because it is made of genuine leather. Not PU nor man made leather. 

Based on my experience leather items lasts longer than any other materials. Meaning I might be long gone in earth but the items remain. Especially if proper care has been given. Half a year or more had passed since I purchased it. My other non leather slippers/sandals are now gone. As the material chips away as time goes by. So when it comes to footwear I am really recommending leather. But if you are the type who loves to change footwear often then any material will do. 

The current office shoes I am wearing sadly is not made of leather so I am giving it at least 3 months only.  And if I have to keep on buying non leather shoes to use, in the end it is not really frugal at all. If I were to compute the amount I will be spending in a year. But then finding an affordable footwear is not easy. Like this Hush Puppies it just happened that they were on sale and I was there. And they have my size. I usually find it hard to get my size. I am only size 4.5 to 5 (US Size) and sometimes even if the footwear says 5 still it doesn't fit.

Toners

Facial Toners. It is a liquid product meant to clean the face. The second step after the facial cleanser or make up remover. To make sure that whatever residue left behind by the facial cleanser or make up will be removed. But not all people uses Toner. Some says you can skip it as it is just a waste of time and money. Some says it is needed as extra care for the skin. As for me prior 2014 I don't have an exact skin care regime. Meaning I just clean my face with just about anything I can get my hands on. Soap. Eskinol. Any facial cleanser. RDL. I was young back then. Being young comes with a smooth and soft skin. When sun spots starts appearing along with thousand of whiteheads that is when I realized I should have taken care of my skin properly as early as possible. Now my skin is aging. And has been drier than before. Prevention is better than cure. I included Toner in my regime, hoping my skin will get better. Here are some of my facial toners:

Inshallah if my busy schedule will permit me to do so I'll take up more photos and write a post for each product.

It has been more than a year that I'm using toner religiously. I can't remember anymore how many brands I tried. I am avoiding Alcohol Denat but then some of the brands I own have them. How's my experience with toners? Well none of them helps as far as sun spots and whiteheads are concern. But then none of them promised to be able to do so. With the current brands I own only 1 claims to have a brightening solution or effect and that is the Botanics Cleansing Toner but it will probably fall into the category of 'products I used to brighten/whiten the skin but did not able to do so'. As I have repeatedly said that I haven't found any brightening/whitening products yet that truly works. Somehow in a way it slows down the aging process of my skin. Not because it has components to fight off the wrinkles. But because of this step I became more attentive to my skin instead of just slapping my face with products. I observe my skin's reaction. I became gentle with my skin. I listen to it. But this post does not mean that I am relying only on toner. Toner is just a part of the regime. Sometimes I follow the Korean steps in applying skin care. Sometimes I just follow the basic.

I'll continue using toners as a way to give an extra pampering to my skin. But as of the brand I don't think I will shell out money again ever to expensive brands since all of them can clean the face properly. That's all for now. Thanks for dropping by to my page. Till next time, Ciao!
