HM Kobai Azalea

Finally I am now on my 11th eyeshadow from H&M. And it is called Kobai Azalea in the shade of red. Last June 2016 when the shop went on sale and the eyeshadow were up for only 5.00AED each. The hoarder in me bought 2 dozen or more. And since I will not be able to finish them the plan was to use one each day then take photo and post here as a remembrance. But then I do not have that much time and I do not use makeup on daily basis. So the year is about to end that I managed to use only 11 colors.
I do not know why I have taken bright shades like red. Lucky for me it does not look so bad on my eyes to think that I look like crazy whenever I wear bright colors. Used it only once by the way. That is the story behind all the makeup I own. And getting rid of them as soon as I can to maintain the neatness of my small space in the flat.
Second photo shows how the eyeshadow looks like on its pan while the last photo shows the swatch. All the eyeshadows from H&M are highly pigmented even without eye primer. But I will not buy again as eyeshadow is not really my thing.
Other shades I used:
Stargazer
After Hour
Triple Raspberry
Sharp As Mustard
Mediterranea
Ignite
Shitake
The New Yew
Ginko Green

HM Tempest

My 10th eyeshadow from HM. June 2016 when they went on sale and an eyeshadow was available for only 5AED each. I may have purchased around 30. And I know I will never be able to finish that in this lifetime and so what I have done is whenever I use one I take photos and post it here as mementos. Then get rid of the item. I know waste of money but what can I do? It is over and done.
Today is for H&M Tempest. It looks like blue green if you are going to look on the label at the side of the box. But when you open the item and swatch it there's not hint of green on it. It is just simply another shade of blue.
I do not know if Tempest is in the permanent collection. If you will visit any H&M shop you will see that they have tons of makeup. For my budget it is expensive if not on sale. But to be honest I do not know what I was thinking when I made the purchase. But if I were to use makeup daily I do not have any complaints with all my H&M eyeshadow. Except for the regular price.
Thanking it for the memory and goodbye. If you'd like to see the last one I've used here is the link.

HM Ginko Green

Photos overload but no additional review or feedback about the product. And whatever there is that I can say about H&M makeup I've said it already the first time. So I will be just repeating myself.
My 9th eyeshadow from H&M is called Ginko Green. And based on the name it is a shade of green. So below are the usual photos. Like back of the eyeshadow. The content and lastly the swatches under different light settings. Or at least two settings. Haha.
Original price was 49.00AED and the sale price was 5.00AED. I do not know if the shades are permanent. I do not know how many shades do they have exactly. All I know is H&M has vast collection of makeup in such a little space. Don't know also why they dropped the prices last year.
For me this is the shade of lime green. Unfortunately shades of greens and blues does not look good on my brown skin. And I stupidly bought all the colorful shades I can find during that sale. So this is the end result I am just using each shade once then discarding them after each usage.
Tried to take a photo of the swatch three times in two lighting conditions. One is directly under the light and the other is not under it. Anyway I can attest that so far all the swatches of H&M eyeshadows I've shown here are very close to the real life colors.
All the 9 H&M eyeshadows I used all are highly pigmented. And will last for a few hours even without a primer. As of the fall outs it is normal to have when you are using eyeshadow brush. But I'm using my fingers only. I have a small eyelids that one shade of shadow is enough. Two or more and it will create chaos. Especially when I am wearing my glasses.
And that's all for today. It is very small but at least one more small item out of my stash. I think I may have at least 500 items. Shoes. Bags. Clothes. Makeup. Skin care products. But I do not let it annoy me. I am the minimalist wannabe with the slowest pace in discarding my items. But heck at least it is moving. Than not at all.

I also started decluttering my external disk. Old movies that are totally forgettable. Same with the series. But before deleting them all I am uploading them in YouTube and Facebook. So my friends can see them if they want to.

HM The New Yew

Too much photos for today but no new information. The 8th H&M eyeshadow in my stash that I used and have to get rid of. This is called The New Yew in the shade of blue green.
49.00AED if not on sale but I got it for only 5.00AED last year. And since I am not wearing makeup on daily basis that I can never finish even one of it.
Good pigmentation as always. Can last for a few hours even without a primer which is a plus point. But sadly for a brown skinned girl like me it does not look good. I look very loud.
Above swatches were taken on the dim side of the room while the last swatch was taken under the light. Camera is good but the owner is not. But at least I can say that is the color too in real life. Maybe it will look good on people with fair skin. But as for me, adios to it!

HM Shitake

Whenever the camera do something like this, I do not know the reason. Even after owning it for 2 years now. Anyway the reason for the post is I bought last year on sale almost 30 pieces eyeshadows from H&M. And there is no way on earth that I can do a Pan Project on those. I am just using them once and then discarding them. Writing a post as memento.
Remember the minimalist photo? Collect memories not stuff. So that is what I am doing even with the most mundane thing in my UAE life. For today I am sharing the photos of H&M Shitake eyeshadow. Cut short the color is brown. Light brown to be exact. And even though my skin color is brown, surprisingly almost all the shades of brown I ever tried looks good on me. Unlike with the blues and greens.
This is the last photo and swatch. It looks very natural on my eyes. And no primer needed. Very good pigmentation and can last for a few hours decently. 7th eyeshadow from my stash if I am counting them correctly. The year is about to end and I am still unsure if indeed I have 30 pieces of it.
So that'a all and thanks for dropping by in my page. For those who wants to go minimalist and don't know where to start, don't worry been there and done that. I know it can gives an anxiety even with the smallest thing. Here's the baby step you can do. Each day spend a few seconds of your time to get rid of something. That is what I have done. Been doing that for more than a year now. I'm not saying that my place is now very pleasing to the eyes. But if one can only see the before and after, it is a very hhhuuggeeee improvement already. Don't pressure yourself too much. Getting rid of an item feels better in time.

HM Ignite

Hello! I am now on my 6th if I am not mistaken, H&M eyeshadow. Last year when they had a massive sale that an eyeshadow cost only 5.00AED with the original price of 49.00AED, that I went ahead and purchased around 30 pieces. But until now I am not sure amount the numbers. I kept them in my organizer. Taking out only one eyeshadow at a time. When I started decluttering my space I was thinking of doing a Pan Project with my makeup. But as I use them, I know that is impossible. Simply because I have too many during the hoarding phase of my life.
All the eyeshadows are made in Italy. But does it matter? This one is called Ignite. In the shade of gray. I don't know exactly how many shades of gray and/or silver they do have. Or if the ones on sale are permanent shades. It looks glittery but don't be afraid it won't be like that much glitter when applied on the lids. As a matter of fact I used it at work. And since I am a Filipina with brown skin I find that shade of gray and silver suites me well than the blues and greens.
Photo of the product and the swatch. I am already using a very find and expensive Sony camera but still it is hard for me to find a spot or angle that will make the photos stand out. But anyway I can guarantee that colors in the photo resembles in up close and personal. All the swatches I am showing in my posts are all without primer. Western brands usually are highly pigmented and yes H&M included. And can last for a few good hours.
So that's all for today. Thanks for dropping by. Till my next H&M eyeshadow again. Maybe I still have at least 20 hidden among my stash.

HM Mediterranea

2016 when H&M at Ajman City Centre went on sale and so I bought almost 30 pieces of eyeshadows even though I do not need it. End result? I was able to use a few shades once. 2017 I had no choice but to discard them one by one. As I am still in the process of decluttering the tiny space. But I will be posting them before getting rid of it.
I am not using makeup on daily basis. But I have many makeup items that's why it has taken me more than a year before I am able to touch my H&M makeup. I paid only 5.00 for this but I would not dare to buy if not on sale as one will cost 49.00AED.
Here are the swatches. Both do not have primer. All H&M eyeshadows are highly pigmented enough even without primer. And  can last for a few good hours. But then in my case I have to put some primer or base otherwise my eyelids would secrete oil enough to ruin the eyeshadow.
That's all for this. I hope I get to wear the rest of my H&M makeup for the remaining days of this month. As for the month of September I wore eyeshadows no more than 3 times.
If you want to see how the other shades look like here they are: After HourSharp As MustardStargazer and Triple Raspberry. Lesson learned: none of those colorful eyeshadows look nice on me. Except the olive shade. I have a small eyelids which is common among Filipinas and I have brown skin. With this I better stick to light shade Asian palettes.

HM Sharp as Mustard

The backstory: 2016 when H&M in Ajman City Centre was on sale that I bought almost 30 pieces of their eyeshadows. Almost  because I am not sure how many exactly I got as I cannot find some of them right now. Even though I've discarded a lot, I still have many clutter left in the room. Since I know it is impossible for me to finish them off in this lifetime that I decided that I will use an eyeshadow a day and take photos of them to share before getting rid of it.
So for today I am sharing the photos of H&M eyeshadow called Sharp As Mustard. Which is in the shade of green. I bought it even though this is not really my color. H&M eyeshadows are all made in Italy. And on regular price it is around 50.00AED but I got it for only 5.00AED each because of the said sale.
As of the pigmentation: I can say that it is highly pigmented. Which is normal with all the eyeshadows from the West which is the exact opposite of the eyeshadows from South Korea and Japan. As of the fall out: I guess it is normal especially when you are using an eyeshadow brush. But there will be none if you are using your fingers. Which is what I am doing. If you want to know if this can last long: I can say yes. Pretty much the whole day even without a primer/base. But maybe the color will stand out more with primer/base.
As I write this and if ever that it is correct that my eyeshadows are 30 then it means I still have 27 pieces to go. Then is 27 days more. As I am now actively decluttering my makeup. Even those ones I haven't tried when December comes has to go.
Makeup junkie with money will find it hard to choose when one is in the H&M shop as they carry hundreds and hundreds of makeup. That even me who does not use makeup on daily basis can feel a flutter in my heart. Some sort of excitement when I am walking in their makeup section.
They also have neutral/nude colors but so far all the colors I've tried are the bright ones. If you want see them here are the links of what I have tried before: Stargazer which is as blue as the dark sky so the name fits well and Triple Raspberry which is as red as a raspberry. They also have eyeshadows in cream type which I prefer than the powdered ones. It just happened that powder eyeshadows were the only ones available during the sale.
Last photo is the swatch. It is the same on my eyelids. But my lower lid is so mall bordering on being a monolid that I use only a little of the product. I think eyeshadows are more noticeable in people with deep set eyes.
Usually with my makeup that are not yet expired I am just handing them over to my younger system via cargo going to the Philippines. But I don't think it will still be possible with the current situation of the cargo in the Philippines. You see my country is in transition and it is not easy on this point. For example to curb the illegal shipments they have to be strict even with the cargo of OFW. Due to this a lot of us (innocent ones) might not be sending a lot from now on. Even me. News is one has to give a passport copy. Nah. No way. I will do that when it is 100% safe or all the criminals are in jail.

Then they say that one has to produce a receipt on whatever are inside the box. Duh. As I have said I was on a hoarding phase for the last 2 to 3 years that even if I kept the receipts I doubt that I will find them. Especially on makeup. So sadly all of this will really go to the garbage bin. To whom will I give them at work anyway? I am working in a motor industry and as I write this I am the only girl in the workshop.

HM Triple Raspberry

A year ago when H&M in Ajman City Centre went on sale. The eyeshadows were up for only 5AED each. And so even though I do not need them I went ahead and purchased around 30 pieces I think? Under the guise of buying them for my birthday. I may have regretted it but too late for that now. This year I am decluttering them.
HM Triple Raspberry
Made in Italy
Sale Price: 5.00AED
Bought last July 2016
From Ajman City Centre
Used Once
If you are going to buy the H&M eyeshadow in its normal price I find it too expensive. I think price range is around 50.00AED so if you are a makeup lover and really using makeup this sale price is such a steal. But this kind of sale only comes once in a blue moon. As of the staying power this is just like any other eyeshadow you can find in the market. Can last longer if you will use a primer. As of the pigmentation it is very good as expected.

I mean if you are using Korean brands of makeup you will see the difference with Western brands like H&M. Maybe one time I will try a side by side comparison of swatches. And that will be all for today. I am taking out all the eyeshadows from my stash to use them and declutter.
The current state of my dresser. When sitting down I cannot see the mirror. Can you believe that this alone is around 100 items? For now I had to keep some batch of makeup to give way to the older batches. [Now that I am in need of money I badly wish I can turn back the time since the day I came to UAE and avoid all the unnecessary shopping that I have done. I should have invest my money in something else. Than being a stupid consumerist.]

Pan Project: HM After Hour

The story was July 2016 HM was on sale. That the eye shadows were available for only 5AED each. And if not on sale it is around 50AED. I do not love make up but I went ahead and bought 30 pieces if I am not mistaken. But of course I do not mean to finish them all. I will just try them out then hand them all with my sister and sister in law. So far the only HM eye shadow I shared was Stargazer

If I will try to finish them all then it would take me decades to do so. I purchased them just for the sake of trying them out. And sending them over to Philippines is fine with me as they are using makeup on daily basis anyway. So somehow their expenses will lessen for not having to buy eye shadows. It is a must in Philippines to wear makeup at work but it is not compulsory in UAE offices. But I am keeping this cream eye shadow as I find it easy to use. And will try to finish it off this year along with all my items for my Pan Project.
I do not have much photos and these ones available were not even good as I was in hurry. But anyway I think I am able to show the correct color of the creamy eye shadow. It is called After Hours and honestly it will be okay to wear at night than in the morning at the office. But I do not go out at night. Hmm. It is dark blue with glitters. But don't be afraid of the glitters. I prefer cream ones because I can use my fingers in applying and blending.
If using primer then it can last the whole day. That is if I do not keep on touching my eyelids which happens a lot whenever I am wearing my glasses.

HM Stargazer

HM Stargazer
Made in Italy
Sale Price: 5.00AED
Bought last July 2016
From Ajman City Centre
Used Once
Hello there! Sorry but I do not have any in depth review about the product. What happened was H&M was on sale last July 2016 and so before heading on my vacation I purchased around 30 pieces of eyeshadows. Even though I am not using make up. I'm not suggesting you girls should do the same. But it is just something I want to experience below I get so old. I'm using the eyeshadow starting this January and it is one eyeshadow per day. So I will use everything only once. Then discard them.
Just took a lot of photos.
H&M Stargazer is dark blue with sparkles.
Fall off is minimal which is good. And I am applying it first before any skin care products on my face.
The swatch: on the pan there seems to be too much sparkles but once applied the sparkles become minimal an almost non existent.
So over all no complaints from me regarding this brand. And once again I apologize for those who came to my page hoping for a complete review. This is just a personal  blog. And I am currently uncluttering my things. So in less than 2 months I will posting all those eyeshadows I purchased and used once. Then discard. While I am in a no buy ban for this year. Thanks for dropping by.

A memory from 2006: I was living in Dubai then and one day I have an interview/hands on in one of the companies in Dubai Media City. While my cousin was already working in the said area. We were both done around 5PM I think? Unfortunately we don't have a car lift. She has a bus service though. On her bus service there was so many empty chairs so we were pleading the driver to allow me just once to go with them. But driver said rules are rules and he has to abide talk about humanity huh? So my cousin did not go to her bus service to accompany me. We waited for a public bus. Back then getting a taxi was hard. Much more a public bus service. All the buses were not stopping anymore as all of them were full. We were able to ride a bus after almost 4 hours of waiting. Plus 2 hours travel time from Dubai Media City to  Al Muraggabat.

So 2006 I do not know how will I survived in Dubai. As staying in Dubai could mean spending my time on the road walking. When I landed a job and the company has a branch in Ajman I have chosen Ajman in a heartbeat. Because the rent and other expenses are much lower as opposed to Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. And if ever that I have to walk it will not be much unlike in Dubai had I tried walking from Dubai Media City to Al Muraggabat. The people now living in Dubai are quite lucky as far as public transportations are concerned. They now have choices. And who knows maybe one day there will be trains too that would connect all the emirates to one another.
