Catrice Lipstick Collection

Hi there! This is not an in depth reviews. I just want to share/show my Catrice Lipstick Collection. First of all I did not plan to collect them. It just happened. Then second I know I always say that I am trying hard to be minimalist but then it happened. And so here are the photos.

This first photo were the shades/items I purchased on November from United Hypermarket Sharjah. It just happened that it was on sale for only 10.95AED and I may not have loads of money but then hey it will not hurt my budget big time either. So purchased 10 while the 11th product is Essence Metal Shock Eyeshadow.

 Second photo is the Catrice Matt Collection. It came out this year in 5 shades. And United Hypermarket Sharjah happened to have an almost complete Catrice products. Maybe except to some limited edition but it is okay. At least for me. Well for someone who hates matte lipsticks, I can say that I love them! I just do not know how to take a good selfie photo wearing them.

 3rd photo shows the complete 10 lipsticks I purchased. At the back is the matte collection while at the front is the ultimate colour collection. I do not know how many shades are there. I was in a hurry during that time. I do not also know exactly how many line of lipsticks they have. I just know it is too much for me to count. Maybe they have at least 200 lip products?

 4th photo shows my complete purchase from Catrice United Hypermarket Sharjah. The 10 Catrice lipsticks and Essence Metal Shock Eyeshadow. I was interested in the eyshadow but it was not on sale so I bought only one. And since I still have a few minutes to spare that I have taken out my other Catrice lipsticks from the drawer.

 And here they are! I think this year I ordered at least 4 shades via Ebay. Because I did not know that shop like Joanna in Dragon Mart carries them. Please do not ask me what was on my mind when I placed the order. And also that time I was not yet going back to my favorite brand which is Mac.

 And the three slim looking tubes on the left on this photo were the lipsticks I purchased when I was in Istanbul last year. It was on sale too. And if you can see at the background although blurry that I still have other brands of lipsticks. No complaints at all. No bad remarks from me regarding the product. 

 I think the only thing I have to watch out for is if the red shades will bleed. That is the usual problem with red lipsticks. I only wear red during the weekends and not in workplace. If you have morena or brown skin like me then I would suggest that you stay away from beige and peach shades as it will wash you out big time!

PS: I was not supposed to use the new lipsticks yet. The 10 lipsticks above. Life span is 36 months right? I was planning to use them on 2018 but then I cannot help it that I started wearing them before November ends. I am not a fan of matte lipsticks. Even the Mac I own but believe me I love Catrice matte lipsticks. I never thought I would say something like that. Plus the colors they created looks like dupes for some Mac (popular) shades. I just do not yet know which one. 

Catrice Ultimate Colour 020 Maroon

I did not plan to have many Catrice lipsticks. It just happened. And also I did not plan to write a post about them but then since I was idle at work decided to take a photos and post it over here. So for today it is about Catrice Ultimate Colour 020 Maroon.

Visited United Hypermarket Sharjah and lipsticks were on sale for only 10.95AED. Needless to say I found myself buying at least 10 shades. Would have been more if I had the time to stay longer longer and do some swatches but I was in hurry. Out of the 10 lipsticks I purchased I used the 3 immediately. Starting from the lightest. This shade is called maroon but then it does not look like it.

As you can see in the tube it has a shade of brown instead of maroon. Even when swatch on my hands. And on my lips.. very good! Looks well on my morena skin tone and pigmented lips. Glides on smoothly.

So far it is my favorite out of the 10 lipsticks I bought. For the last two years I am addicted to natural/neutral/nude shades of lipsticks. Even though I still have some reds and other bright shades I do wear them only on weekends. 

But I keep on saying that Mac is my favorite brand and yet I keep on reaching for my Catrice as well. Last photo below I swatch the other Mac lipsticks I am using at work to see which one looks like Catrice. Up is Kinda Sexy which has a pink shade so it is not. Middle out of three is Creme In Your Coffee I would say it is close to Catrice Maroon but then Catrice Maroon is darker. And beside it is Half and Half. 

So tell me how can a girl have one nude lipsticks when all the nude lipsticks out there are entirely different shade from one another? Even if I am trying so hard to be frugal and minimalism but when it comes to lipstick, it goes out of the window.

Catrice Ultimate Colour 240 Hey Nude

Hello there! I know I said a thousand times that I am trying to live a minimalist life. And I am even documenting how I do it like with my Pan Project and Goodbye Series Posts. But then in spite of it I cannot really stay away from buying a lipstick. I was and still I am addicted to them. So my post is about Catrice Ultimate Colour 240 Hey Nude.

Catrice is a German brand of cosmetics that is very affordable. I never thought it will be available in UAE market but it does. United Hypermarket Sharjah has an almost complete collection of Catrice. I just wish they can offer online shopping as their place is very far from me that I need to ask someone to bring me there.

All Catrice lipsticks are like this. Meaning they do not come with a box like Mac lipsticks do. And they are all in black tubes. Name is written at the bottom. While side sticker contains other information as can be seen in the photo. Next photo shows the name Catrice embossed in the lipstick. As well as the side of the tube.

I am a Filipina with brown skin or they call it morena. Based on my experiences in Mac lipsticks any lipstick with Beige on it does not look good on me. Making me look ill. I learned that lesson in the most expensive way as I purchased quite a few lipsticks on that shade and I am now finding a way to use them instead of wasting them. So upon  seeing Catrice Hey Nude I instantly knew that it will not work for me. But then since it was on sale for only 10.95AED so I went ahead and get myself one. I was right. It will never work for me.

Left photo is Mac Cremesheen D' Nude and right is Catrice Ultimate Colour 240 Hey Nude. While the swatches below left is Catrice while right is Mac. Mac is more on beige while Catrice is more on peach. But whatever. Both are not good for me. I think I am writing this also to warn my fellow Filipinas. Maybe if you have a fair skin you can make beige/peach shade work for me. But if you are like me then I don't think see. 

Better stick to lipsticks with shades of pink, rose and brown. And I do not think it will be boring as brown alone has many shades to choose from. There are many brands in the market and I do not know how they do it but seems like they can create dozen shades of one color. As for me the only way to finish these lipsticks ~ is to mix them with any red or vampy colors I own. So I can use them at work. 

Essence Makeup Haul Part 7

For the month of September there's no occasion and my birthday is over. But then I visited Carrefour Express at Oasis Mall and as expected I did not walk away empty handed. There's no way that I can resist buying anything from Essence. Since it is the most affordable makeup in the UAE market. For those who doesn't know Essence is a drugstore brand of makeup from Germany. The brand is targeted for students and young ladies hence the low prices. Only a few shops in UAE carries this brand. Here's what I got myself this time:

I'm not into red lipsticks now but as I've said since it is very affordable it wouldn't hurt to get myself a few shades eh? Each lipstick costs only 12.00AED so bought 2 sets of these. One for me and one for my little sister in Manila. The sad part is there are so many Essence items that are not available in the UAE. But can't blame the shops though. For them to bring them all there must be a huge demands from the customers, right? This is not really popular over here. This may not be the best lipstick in the world but not bad either. It does not bleed. Color pay off is great. Won't hurt the pocket. But a very few color selection. In fact I think I already have almost all the colors in this line of Essence Long Lasting Lipsticks.

Une Rouge Lipsticks

Finally a clearer photos of Une Rouge Lipsticks. Haha. Unfortunately this brand is not yet available in the Philippines. For sure a lot of Filipinas will fall in love with this too. Just like me. Here are the 2 shades I own:
