Empty Bottle 9: Baby Bench Bubble Gum ♚

And welcome to another edition of my project which is de-cluttering the room. How? Finish off all the products I'm having. But not buying anything afterwards. As I will assess what are the items that I really need and not just want. And todays post is about Baby Bench Bubble Gum Cologne. Bench is a Philippine Brand. [It is sad because the last time I was home I have seen most of their clothes are Made in PRC ~ I'm not against products being Made in PRC but with this company what I'm seeing is a lot of Filipinos would have been the one doing those jobs. If money is an issue with the company then why get so many endorsers then? I'll buy from this product only if it is Made in Philippines. And there's a flutter in my heart whenever I see brands here that says Made in Philippines.] Sorry about the Segway as I had been wanting to voice it out a long time ago. But anyway I don't judge people who still patronizes the brand it is just my opinion though and I am not exactly sure what is happening inside that company.

Bench Baby Cologne
Bubble Gum
Price: 8.00AED
Made in Philippines
Bought at Safeer Mall, UAE

This is widely available across the UAE. I don't have much to say as for the product review. We all know that cologne is a kind of perfume but with higher quantity of water hence it is not concentrated. Scent is based on a persons preference. Sadly I have now forgotten what it smells like as it has been years since I used it. And this bottle has just been sitting in the drawer together with the other unfinished bottles of body mists.
I hope they will improve it by putting a spray. Because I think spray will be more economical. Sometimes upon using can't help that some will be wasted. And if it is in spray form bottle I would have try using it as room spray. The same way I am doing with a body mist.
Product Information: To be honest I did not bother reading it. Purchased it upon seeing Made in Philippines.
One of my Indian colleagues love it so much that she's requesting it as 'pasalubong' every time some one will go home in Philippine for vacation. And that's all for today. Thanks for dropping by. More de-cluttering posts from me to come.

RDL Transparent Facial Soap

RDL is a company that has been around since I can remember. It is a Philippine Brand and their products are made in the Philippines. Until circa 2013 I was using RDL Transparent Facial Soap on my face! Price was a factor as this is only 9AED compared to other facial wash in the market. So I thought I was saving a money. And I am really into supporting our own products. But it left me no choice but to finally stop using it. Maybe if I have a normal skin then this would have been a perfect product for my face. Sadly I have a combination skin. Dry on cheeks. Oily on my T zone. This transparent soap is unscented and doesn't produce foam like other soaps do but I am fine with that. I stopped using it as it didn't help in controlling the oil in my T zone. I am left with so many white heads than ever. White heads and sun spots are my concerns in the face. This led me into doing a trial and error in different face products.

Tongo's Super Tuyo

Tongo's Super Tuyo ~ One of the Philippine Products I love. I met this last 2013. I'm not sure if by now they are already available nationwide in the Philippines. And how I wish they'll export also. Super Danggit is my least favorite as I prefer Danggit to be crunchy no matter what. But I so LLOOOOVVVVVEEEE the Super Tuyo and Secret Sauce! Really must try. Super Tuyo ~ I miss you now!

SK Products Philippines

*PHOTOS are not mine. Got them from Google Images. I'll share the source once I find it again.
From time to time I had been experimenting with different products that promises to whiten the skin. For the record, I am not aiming to be as white as Snow White. I love being morena but I wish to have an even skintone. No black spots. Almost a decade ago I used to buy these products in Watsons Philippines. It is called Dermacare SK or just SK. But Google only knows the SK II from Japan. That's sad. Price back then was around 100PHP only. I was using the Peeling Lotion and it really works. I am now remembering this underrated products as none of the supposed to be peeling/whitening products I purchased/tried works (Shark Oil, Green Peeling Oil, RDL Lotion, One Earth Organics etc. etc.) Will try to share my experiences with them. Now I am asking my friend and siblings to try hard to look for these products for me. And once they find it I will hoard that will last for the next 5 years. Try to Google it and you'll not find much info about it :(

The sea of soaps

Photo From: http://nomoredirtylooks.com
A friend told me, I'm not getting any younger anymore. At this age I shouldn't be experimenting anymore. Especially on my skin. Especially on the soap. What I was doing was if the soap is on sale or affordable and smells good or I love the color or it is something new I'll go ahead and use it. But then since I'm on my early 30's now I have to be extra careful. Better to be safe than sorry.

So over the weekend, I was in a Filipino grocery looking around for a brand of soap that would be perfect for me. And boy, it wasn't easy. Can't remember anymore how many brands I have seen. Some I know. Some I don't. All they all seems to be promising one thing. TO MAKE YOUR SKIN WHITER. Nah, I don't believe such thing. There was a time in my life that I even paid a fortune for a skin peeling but nothing happened. Lesson learned. That was 8 sessions only. Anyhoo, I am not really after to whiten my skin. If possible just make it even. But if it won't then no worries. But then again no harm in trying right?

I have chosen RDL since I had been seeing this brand as long as I can remember. CY Gabriel and Dr. Kauffman were available too but not sure until when they will be available on that grocery which happens to be very far from my location. Then another problem was RDL has so many variants. So I ended up buying 3 variants. Tawas soap, Bleaching Soap and Kalamansi with Honey - the common denominator all of the have this on the front package that says it will whiten your skin. And I am interested in Placenta too as I read somewhere that it will tighten your skin. You know as a person grow older the skin will somehow start to sag.

I have been looking around for reviews for those soap but to no avail. Maybe one of these days, I'll post about RDL again with photos. Will try to write a review if I can or possible.I mean I started using them only a few days ago. Wonder what are the thoughts of Filipinas about this brand?
