Goodbye #156: Suzy Smith

Don't know what you call this but I have this for many years now. And I do not know why. Time to throw it out. OMG I am sick and tired of always cleaning my tiny space. Rearranging my items. I may not be able to take all the photos and document them all but since 2016 I've thrown countless garbage bags containing so many odd items like this one.

I am so satisfied with my first order from KLens Pop that I went ahead to order a new batch for the month of July. They seem to have a monthly sale or promotion. 

Here are the lenses I got. Made of silicon hydrogel. Original price was 60.00USD but on sale price I got them for only 6.50USD each pair. Value for money indeed.

One of the items I purchased back in 2014 if my memory serves me right. Throwing it out now as this is an expired product. I was not able to fully use it before because it makes my face itchy. If you are reading this, please learn from my mistakes, there is no such thing on earth that can make your pores smaller. Keep that in mind and avoid products with false promises.

Empty Bottle#120: Deborah Shine Tech 🌸

I used to have long nails. And so along with that I used to have so many nail polishes as well. But I was not able to finish them all. I've thrown away most of them. Which looking back were a waste of money.

I purchased this back in 2009. Used it for a few times. Until inside became hard and finished. If you love nail polishes I think it will be less expensive going to salon than buying nail polishes that you will use a few times or in most cases only once.

Sorry for the bad photo. But this is really a cool shiny black color. My only nail polish post so far.

Empty Tube #119: Wakilala Clear Wash

It was 2014 when I have know Bison's Wakilala Clear Wash and Toner for armpit. This product is from Japan and they are selling it as an underarm whitener. Please dot not fall for that. This is an excellent scrub for the armpits. But there is no way that it can whiten your pits.

It could be the last tube in my stash. Will I repurchase? No! Good as it may I can find some cheaper scrub to use. As this is not available in UAE market. One can get it through some online seller or online shopping. I don't even know when will I ever finish the rest of my stash as you can see they are all over my dresser.

Chefline Non Stick Paniyaram Pan

Whenever I am in a grocery shop I have a habit of looking around. Even though I do not need to buy anything. Because of this habit that I find things I am not expecting to find.

Well whatever you want to call it: paniyaram for Indians or takoyaki for Japanese. In the end the food have something in common. Made of flour. Ball like shaped. And for the longest time I had been wanting to have a takoyaki maker. But it is too expensive. So imagine my delight upon seeing this paniyaram pan.

Price is only 38.00AED and if you will say that it is expensive, mind you it is non stick. And the weight is comparable to cast iron. Because of this I can easily cook takoyaki anytime. Or pancake balls.

Under the guise of buying them for my birthday. I may have regretted it but too late for that now. This year I am decluttering them.

If you are going to buy the H&M eyeshadow in its normal price I find it too expensive. I think price range is around 50.00AED so if you are a makeup lover and really using makeup this sale price is such a steal. But this kind of sale only comes once in a blue moon. As of the staying power this is just like any other eyeshadow you can find in the market. Can last longer if you will use a primer. As of the pigmentation it is very good as expected.

I mean if you are using Korean brands of makeup you will see the difference with Western brands like H&M. Maybe one time I will try a side by side comparison of swatches. And that will be all for today. I am taking out all the eyeshadows from my stash to use them and declutter.

The current state of my dresser. When sitting down I cannot see the mirror. Can you believe that this alone is around 100 items? For now I had to keep some batch of makeup to give way to the older batches. [Now that I am in need of money I badly wish I can turn back the time since the day I came to UAE and avoid all the unnecessary shopping that I have done. I should have invest my money in something else. Than being a stupid consumerist.] 

Goodbye #154: Missha BB Cream

I am not into wasting product but I am now throwing away this Missha BB Cream even though there is still at least 1/4 left at the tube. In my attempt to minimize my earthly possessions that are now mostly consists of skin care products.

Back in 2014 when I came to know about BB Creams and Korean brands are the popular ones. So I purchased some to test them out. But my mistake was buying all at once that I never get to finish any of them. Ended up keeping them in my drawer to collect dust.

Anyway Missha is a Korean brand of skin care products and makeup. Missha unfortunately is not available in UAE market. The Faceshop is the only Korean brand in town. But inspite of it anyone can purchase Missha online. And there are some online sellers that offer Missha. I cannot remember anymore how much I paid for this tube.

It is said to be with SPF... Now if you are in my page hoping for an in depth review well then I am sorry to disappoint. I am thinking hard of praises about Missha BB Cream but no words come out of my mind. There is nothing wrong with Missha BB Cream but there is something wrong between my skin and any bb cream. If I were to use bb cream then I cannot put on a makeup anymore. If I put on a makeup then I cannot put a bb cream anymore. Any bb cream I use and makeup creates a flake in my face. Whether I use a primer/base or not. And I am using only sunscreen and one kind of moisturizer. That's why most of my bb creams end up being kept in the drawer.

That is why I ended up throwing away my Maybelline bb cream. I managed to finish only one brand so far. So that's all for today. And I really hope that I get to clear all my mess this year. Probably I have loads of items to throw away and as I do, can't help but think of the money (and time) that I wasted. I wish I had been financially literate since day 1.

Goodbye #153: Pencil Case

Another old item from 2008. For the longest time I kept it in my office drawer along with some items. Took it home and forgot the reason why. Then it has been hidden among with my other items. Forgotten once again. Now I found it again but I have no use for it anymore that it has to go to the garbage bin. Oh how I wish the next item I will find around the little space is gold. But that is just a wishful thinking.

Goodbye #152: CD's

Was cleaning last week when I found these old CD's and I do not know the contents inside. But threw then anyway. Sometimes I am sick of organizing and rearranging my stuff, but then I always have to remind myself that I have no one else to blame but myself. Had I not purchased so many things in the past, then I would not have this mess that I do have right now. And I would have a little money stash away in the bank instead. But well it's over and done. I just need to keep on cleaning the tiny space now.
