Daiso Product #19: Daiso Skin Glow Base

Daiso is a shop that I am visiting a lot just to look around but I always end up buying something. Even if I do not need that something. Back in the day when I was a hoarder, I had much of what we call Daiso Haul and I managed to share some of them over here. Then what happened over the years? I tried to be a minimalist that I stopped the ‘hauls’ altogether from all the shops. Then I realized that I would never be a good writer nor a photographer so what is the point in blogging? In addition, the time, ah all the adults can relate to it. Not having enough time. I am back to writing posts again because it might be helpful to others. I started sharing about Daiso products but honestly, we do not have the best Daiso in the world. Daiso in other countries have food, clothes, shoes and many cosmetics to choose from.

In UAE Daiso barely has cosmetics and I do not know why? I have seen this Daiso skin glow base back in June 2020 only at Dubai Mall for 7.35AED and I bought a few pieces. I have never seen it in other branches. I have never seen it again at Dubai Mall. They do not have any idea when they will have it again. Or if the main Daiso discontinued it. I know this is a base for makeup but it is as good as moisturizer. It is transparent in color. And I am sorry if I am not really good in describing things. But I am labeling it good just because it is moisturizing and affordable.

Daiso Product #18: Makeup Remover

There are so many things I would like to share but I do not have the time so instead I will post the photos as if this is instagram. The third and last makeup remover wipes that I got from Daiso for 7.35AED and on that amount tax is included. As for the product as I've said before, so far all the skin care I got from them are all good.

Daiso Product #17: Collagen Makeup Remover

 

I will no longer write long descriptions as I am not a good writer or reviewer anyway. I got this another variant of makeup remover from good old Daiso for 7.35AED including tax. All I can say is, so far all the products I got from Daiso are good and I do not need to spend a fortune anymore. 

Daiso Product #16: Hyaluronic Makeup Remover

Daiso makeup remover that retails for 7.35AED tax included. It is a good oil based makeup remover wipes. Sorry for such a short description though as I am in a hurry. I decided to go back on posting again as I want to share all the Daiso stuff I bought. I want to help the brands I believe in, in my own little ways.

2015 for a few weeks I was always in Daiso at Lamcy Plaza roaming around and making a haul. One of the products I purchased was Daiso Body Milk. And I used it as a hand cream as I already have far too many body moisturizers.

Price: Affordable.
Moisturizing Properties: Fine but not outstanding.
Availability: No longer available in all Daiso branches in UAE.

I'm sorry for those who landed on my page hoping for an in depth review of Daiso Body Milk. I guess if it is available in your area and if you want to try it better just go ahead. First of all this is very affordable. Second to the that, the scent is not bad at all. In fact the scent is good. But quite forgettable. I just can't remember everything has it has been months since I purchased and used it up. But the bottle has been lying around in the flat along with my other skin care products. This post is a part of my project of uncluttering the flat. Ciao ☺

Daiso Product #13: Lemon Peeling Gel

Peeling gel is a product from Asia that's serve as a cleanser. Not only for the face but also for the body. It is an a very gentle exfoliant that uses fruit enzymes to remove dead skin cells. The most popular brand right now is the Cure Aqua Gel which happens to be expensive and unavailable in UAE market. Thankfully good old Daiso decides to release their own version of peeling gel. I think this is a new product from Daiso. I purchased it from Daiso Dubai Mall and haven't seen it yet in other branches. Daiso Lemon Peeling Gel.

Daiso Product #10: Facial Plate

Even without reading it can be seen in the photos on the product what it is about. But I consider this another odd item at Daiso. I mean a comb and at the same time facial plate? What is a facial plate? The only plate I know is the one I'm using whenever I eat food. I bought it out of curiosity as I never had a facial plate before. I would just like to try it out if it is good or not. If it turns out to be a bad product at least I can still use it as a comb.

The back side of the product. Until now I'm still getting confused with my camera. If I will look at the camera screen it looks like blurry but upon seeing it at the laptop then it is fine. Not really big but at least clear enough. Instructions are written in Japanese, English and Spanish. Sounds like Spanish so I take it as Spanish.

Instructions on How To Use. Let me write it down if it is too small for you. Apply lotion after washing your face. Use after applying commercially available oil or cream. Use for about 10 minutes a day. (I'm not too sure it I can use it for that long because 10 minutes is for one side of the face only so both cheeks would be 20 minutes, that is already too long for me).

How To Store: Dry well after use. 
Caution:
Do not use excessively on one area.
Individual experience and result may vary.
Stop use immediately and consult a doctor when irritation occurs.
Do not use on areas with sores or broken skin.
Do not use on abdomen during menstruation.
Do not use this product for other than its originally intended purpose.
~ Duh. I was scratching my head upon typing the 5th on the list of caution. This is for face so why would any woman do that? :)

Country of Origin. But then this one doesn't really matter as for sure there's a strict QC after all Daiso is a Japanese product. They'll surely care for their name/company/reputation. And I can't think of any harm this really product can do. 

I stopped writing this post for a while to take a bath and after doing so I tried this on my face. It is relaxing as it massage my face. But I just wish someone will do it for me haha. So in short, this is an okay product. If you want to pamper yourself a little without shedding a fortune. It is better to use it while watching TV. That's all for now. Daiso Haul Part 3

Isn't it obvious by now how much I really love shopping at Daiso? Most of the items I really need. While some items I purchased out of curiosity. But even so it doesn't hurt me financially big time as Daiso items are affordable. Mostly are for 7.00AED only. And I'm staying away to items that happens to be higher than that amount. Welcome to my Daiso Haul Part 3:

Daiso Medical Bathing Agent ~ I'm not yet using this one and honestly I bought it without even knowing the purpose. I got this from Daiso Lamcy Plaza. I don't think that this is their regular product. They just have a few stocks of this one. It costs 7.00AED per bottle. The word 'medicated' caught my attention so I grabbed 2. I hope I'll find answers at Google regarding this one and once I find out will share them via post here.

Daiso Pore Care Pack ~ this is a Daiso Charcoal Nose Strips. Each box contains 4 pieces. A box costs only 7.00AED. Whenever I see this at Daiso I can't help buying myself one or two. This is a fast moving item at Daiso. But even so it seems that they are not stocking up. For example Daiso Mirdif City Centre doesn't have this for almost 2 months. New batch came but after a week all has been sold out and again customers who wants to buy it has to wait 'forever' for it to arrive. Looking back at all my non Daiso purchase that promises to clean up my nose properly but in the end they didn't really work for me I should have just spent that money in hauling all the Daiso Nose Strips I can get. At least this one I can attest that works properly with no fancy promises!

Daiso Charcoal Pore Pack ~ the same as the photo above but in a different packaging. Daiso Charcoal Nose Strips. Each packet contains 4 pieces of nose strips. Each packet costs 7.00AED. This is also hard to find. I was able to buy 1 packet at Dubai Mall once and I have never seen it again over there again. Bought these 5 packets from Daiso Lamcy Plaza. The last batch of their stock I guess.

Daiso BB Face Mask ~ there are two types of Daiso BB Face Mask. One is Daiso BB Face Mask with Hyaluronic Acid and the second one is BB Face Mask with Collagen. A packet contains 2 pieces of face mask. A packet would costs 7.00AED. Another fast moving item from Daiso Beauty Products. A Daiso branch would go on for weeks without a stock of it. 

Daiso Coenzyme Q10 Face Mask ~ another fast moving item at Daiso. Almost all branches are out of it for a few weeks then last week I saw at least 2 branches stock up again but then they are out of Daiso BB Face Mask. They can't bring make everything available all at once. This Daiso Coenzyme Q10 Face Mask a box has 3 pieces of face mask. And a box would costs 7.00AED. Making it cheaper than the Daiso BB Face Mask. But has a different purpose. 

Daiso Sweat Pads ~ each packet contains 8 pieces of sweat pads. One for each armpit. Means one packet is good for 4 days. A packet costs 7.00AED. When I first saw this item I was hesitant to buy it. Sounds ridiculous. But when finally I decided to buy one and used it well I came back for more variants/colors. There are days that I don't feel like wearing a deodorant or I'll just apply some cream as my underarms becoming dry so I'll just put a sweat pads on my tops/blouse and this is a big help as  I don't stink even without deodorant as it absorbs the sweat. Thankful that Japanese invented this kind of thing.

Daiso Haul Part 1

Daiso is  Japanese store that sells affordable items. It is their version of Dollar Store. In the UAE items are for 7.00AED only otherwise stated. It was 2014 when I started visiting Daiso again after so many years. I stopped probably because the Daiso in Ajman is out of the way. The Daiso in Sharjah City Centre closed down. Traffic in Sharjah is heavy all the time so I don't dare go there. As I will be spending more money in taxi fare than the price of the items I'm going buy. But anyways I'm glad that I started shopping at Daiso again. Here are some hauls I made for the past few months. And can you blame me? Daiso has this weird system that you will see an item today and love it only to find out that it is not available in other branches or once they run out of it from their store they do not know when they'll have a stock again. Or will they ever have it again.  So the tendency for me is once I see it I hoard it. 

One of the main reasons why I started shopping at Daiso is when I noticed that my expenses in skin care products was draining me financially. I had to look for alternatives. Not only for skin care products as well as for the household items. If only they also have liquid items and food items for sure I'll be the first in line to buy them as well. So here are my hauls:

Daiso Ellefar Water Pack Jelly ~ this is a dupe for the popular Cure Aqua Gel. Actually Cure Aqua Gel is not available in UAE. But some online sellers do have them. Even if they becomes available in UAE market it is so expensive. I wouldn't be able to afford it, really. I'm glad that a dupe is available for it. Daiso Ellefar Water Pack Jelly or Daiso Peeling Gel is a gentle and safe exfoliator. As for me I love to use it on my nose area. As a preparation before putting a nose strips or any other products meant to clean the nose area of white heads. I found it at Daiso in Mirdif City Centre and I had a feeling that it will be hard for me to track down this item again so I purchased all their stocks that time. And yes I am right. It is not available in other branches. And Daiso MCC staff can't even tell me if they will have it again or did they even order for this item from Japan. A tube costs only 7.00AED

Sumi Charcoal Hair Treatment ~ another hard to find product from Daiso. I bought it from Daiso Lamcy Plaza. I don't think this is available in other branches. As Daiso UAE doesn't normally carries hair products. To think that even their skin care line is limited. Is this a way to make sure that consumers will only buy those expensive items? (Conspiracy Theory)... This is a hair mask. I bought all their stocks as I have a feeling that they won't stock up this item again ever and I think I am right as I'm not seeing this anymore for 2 months now. A tube would cost only 7.00AED not bad for pampering my hair than spending a 100AED or more in a parlor. 

Daiso Cleansing Water ~ this is Daiso's version of Micelle Solution. It is meant for removing make up and other dirt and impurities in the face. A bottle costs only 7.00AED but I did not hoard this one. I got myself only 2 pieces to try it out. For those who are interested to buy bear in mind that it does contain Alcohol and it is available only in Daiso Lamcy Plaza. Why do they have that system when there's only 1 owner of Daiso UAE?

Daiso Nano Hair Treatment ~ this is the most expensive item I bought from Daiso. A tube costs 14.00AED. I bought it at Daiso Lamcy Plaza. This is not available in other branches. In spite of being expensive I bought all their stocks which was only 3 pieces. And I'm not expecting them to stock up again. Because just like the Sumi Charcoal Hair Treatment mask above, I haven't seen this item again at the said branch. It has been 2 months since I made the purchase. 

Daiso Body Milk Lotion ~ a tube of this lotion costs only 7.00AED. I bought it 2 months ago together with Sumi Charcoal Hair Mask and Nano Charcoal Hair Mask at Daiso Lamcy Plaza. I got myself 2 pieces of it. And once again I'll say that this is not available in other branches of Daiso. My last visit in Daiso Lamcy Plaza I didn't notice this item anymore. It could mean only one thing, it will never be available in their branch again. This is the cheapest lotion I have seen in the UAE market.

One of my favorite make up removers. Aloe Vera MakeUp Remover wipes from Daiso. I know that in the market there so many brands but I haven't seen one that can beat this price as this good. This is what you can really call value for money. I got this one at Daiso in Lamcy. I am not sure if this is available in other branches. It is slightly scented but not bad at all. This can remove even the stubborn waterproof make up especially the mascara. Must buy if you are looking for a good brand but at the same time budget conscious. That's all for now. Daiso Product #8: Charcoal Pore Care Pack [Nose Strips]

For the last 8 years here in the UAE I had been using a different brand of nose strips. I don't have a problem with that brand but then I am glad that I found Daiso Charcoal Pore Care Pack. The one I am using cost 17.00AED (6 pieces in a box). Yes, price plays a major factor why I made the switch. Daiso is cheaper. But can do the same job. Definitely no way that I'll ever use another brand again. But the downside of this Daiso is the availability. It is usually out of stock. When you see it available you better stock up or wait a long time when it will be available again.

 

As of the first weekend of April they were not available at Mirdif City Centre and Lamcy Plaza. So for this month of April even though I no longer have a budget once it becomes available I'll surely buy a dozen or so. I cannot live without nose strips as sadly white heads whether I like it or not is something I cant get rid off 100%. Nose products can only lessen them but not make them totally vanish for good.

Photos above are taken using Pentax Q7 and it was daytime so there's still some 'natural' light peeking through the window of the house. While my post about Daiso Charcoal Natural Pack Mask were taken using iPhone6 at night . This is what I don't like about the Pentax Q7 too much noise in the photos. Now back to the product  ~ I can't say if this product is popular or do a lot of girls even know it exists? As the blog posts I find about it were all from 4 years ago.  It is called cleansing cream. This is included in their Charcoal Line Products. And it is not available in at least 4 branches of Daiso UAE that I visited recently. Don't confuse it with their other product called Daiso Charcoal Cleansing Foam which I will write in a separate post.

This is a gray cream that's meant for removing dirt and especially make up. All you have to do is to gently rub the cream to your face and again gently wipe it off using a tissue. It feels oily in the skin which reminds me of those cleansing oil make up removers though I never tried one. This is designed for double cleansing our face at night. So it is recommended to wash the face after using their Daiso Charcoal Cleansing Foam. Upon applying it on the face there's a cooling and slightly stinging sensation but it is bearable and in a good way. Making you feel that it is really working towards your skin. Will repurchase when it becomes available again.

Before you scroll down the photos let me say that they were all taken using an iPhone (am I saying that to all my posts with photos?) ~ I am sorry if ever that I keep on repeating myself I am just amazed that the phone can take a close up photos better than my current camera. I have taken this photos at night. My camera can only capture good images if there is enough natural light. So here it is:

I am not sure when this charcoal thing in skin care products came out or where it started. But seems like it is quite popular in Asian Products. I'm not aware or updated with this kind of things. As usual I bought the product at Daiso even before reading reviews/blogs/write ups about it. And so they say that charcoal is good in removing dirt from the face. That this Daiso Charcoal Natural Pack Mask is a good one. If it is good enough for others well it could be good enough for me, right? And my usual thinking that what will I lose in trying anyway?

The good thing is it doesn't seem to run out of stock at all the Daiso Stores in UAE that I visited. Then it is very affordable. One tube takes a long time for me to finish as I use it once a week only. Yes I do agree that it takes away the dirt and impurities at my face. But the downside is, it can be drying on my skin. I have combination and aging skin. I ended up using it only in my nose and chin area. But then it doesn't seem to help in taking away my white heads 100%.

I am not too happy with it because I thought it will help regarding with my whiteheads but it isn't. But still I will include it in my routine. Since it cleans the skin and might be a big help in unclogging the pores in the long run. And if there's anything else I'll just update this post. And that's all for now.
