Essence Make Up Haul

Essence is a brand of make up from Germany. It is hard to believe but even if it is a European brand the price range is very affordable. Way back in 2009 or 2010 it used to be available in Carrefour at Mirdif City Center and for some unknown reason they left the shelves of Carrefour. And I don't know anymore where to find them until recently when it shows up in my Instagram feed. I found out that a boutique called 'Exquisite' carries it.

I purchased these items from the Exquisite boutique in Ajman in the same building with Ajman Coop. I am happy to find this brand again but sad as sooner or later this brand will leave the shelves of Exquisite. It will still be available in UAE it is just a question of where? It is quite hard to track down for me as I can't find blogs or forums about this in UAE. Many brands are quite popular but the price range is nowhere near Essence. I visited the Exquisite in Times Square Dubai and it is not available there anymore. Ajman Branch of Exquisite might just be finishing off their stocks. The lady has no idea until when they'll be selling it. It is also available in IBN Battuta Mall and that mall is like 2 hours away from me :(

As of the quality I can attest that this is really good and value for money. Here's the list of prices for those who wants to know:

Daiso Foot and Hand Mask

Foot Mask and Hand Mask are 7.00AED each from Daiso. Will use it soon and will write a post about my feedback regarding these products. But the downside, in case that this turns out to be a good product it will be hard for me to buy them again. I don't know exactly what is going on in Daiso UAE. You'll find a product today then gone for good the next day..

Ingredients: Aqua/Water, Hexylene Glycol, Glycerin, Poloxamer 184, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate,  Disodium Edta, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide.

It was only August last year [2014] when I found about Micelle Solution. Bioderma was the first Micelle Solution I tried and I can say that it was LOVE at first use. Even though I love the brand I went out and purchased all the other brands for me to be able to compare. What's the verdict? I can't find any fault at Loreal Micelle Solution. It can do whatever the Bioderma can do. For a cheaper price. But bear in mind that I am make up minimalist. So I can't say the same for those who wear heavy/complete make up. I don't use BB Cream/CC Cream/Foundation on daily basis. Make up for me will just be cream blush on which doesn't usually stay the whole day and lip gloss or any neutral lipstick.

Loreal Micelle Solution is available in almost every grocery store in the UAE. While the Bioderma is quite hard to find especially the 500ML. As you will save money when buying the biggest bottle than buying the smallest one.


And after this again I will continue my hunt for other brands that can compete with a lower price :)
