Upcoming trip!

In just a few hours I will be on the airport. For this much awaited trip. And when I come back from this mini vacation I swear that I will be writing everything about it. So to help my other kabayans who wants to go there in the future (Italy, I will visit at least 4 places in such a short span of time). I had been searching all over the internet for some informations that can help me but to no avail. Yeah, I found some blogs but mostly they are from the all time travellers. Like the other day, I was looking for vintage shops and so far all I've got are names for all the branded goods and still quite pricey for me. I want to write about vintage/thrift shops, what you can find and how much. And yeah about food too. I tried searching the net about groceries and food that I will find only in Italy. Yeah I know the usual like pasta and cheese, but I am looking for something else. I am a junk foodie who tries all the possible chips and chocolates out there as well as different bread spreads. I will be looking for this currently famous Speculoos which is I haven't seen in the UAE yet. I will also visit the Fossil shop; yeah Fossil is available in UAE but only the watches those gorgeous bags and wallet are not! To think that Fossil leather is quite affordable compared to other products in the market.


This trip is not that easy as it seems to be; my boyfriend spent so much time looking up in the internet for so many things First the hotels, then the timings of the trains and buses as well as the prices. How the heck we will travel with our luggages in tow? Where we will gonna eat? Our itinerary each day! That is why I cannot be so choosy. If we have all the time in our hands then I would love to visit all the attractions there is in every city. I must also bear in my mind that we have to rest. As I know that he is not a fan of walking around a lot. So I will just enjoy whatever there is. After all, travelling is a wonderful experience.

Honestly, I a so excited with the upcoming trip. Why would I not be? I will go to my dream country. For the first time. In Italy. In Europe. Not just any other country in the world. The country where there are great cheese, pasta, tiramisu and all the wonderful buildings in the world. The country that is quite cold. So unlike of the country that I am living in for the past 6 or 7 years of my life. I have a list of places that I want to visit and see; but then I am not relying 100% on that list for I know that when I am already there my time will not be enough. But no complaints here. I am just happy that I will be able to visit and who knows next year or so I might come back again and that time I will take a longer vacation...

I love Leather!

Since I got this leather wallet from Fossil; I fell in love with it. I fell in love that I wanted to collect leather stuff. But I cannot afford to go after the high end brands. Since I will be going to Milan very, very soon I am searching the google as to where I can find leather stuffs that won't cost a fortune. I found some but they did not say the cost of the products available. I really have to look for myself then. Will I be successful with my search? Or will I come back here empty handed?

I badly wanted to post photos along with whatever I blog about. But the internet here at the office won't allow me to do so. I don't even have internet. I am just using my colleague's log on whenever I want to write something.

Am I just getting tired? Just need a break?

Friends often tell me to stop complaining about life. Stop thinking too much. Just enjoy the moment. But once in a while this feelings keep on coming. I know how hard life is. I know a lot of people would give up everything to be in my position (don't mean to sound boastful, but I have seen a lot of unemployed hoping to be a part of this company). I had been wearing uniform from the day I started schooling up to now that I am working. Some days I do waking up hating "uniforms". Sometimes, I do go to work just because I have to. I had been doing the same thing over and over again. The salary is still the same. The system is still the same. But then I do not want to go back in Manila. Tsk. There are so many questions left unanswered. So many things I cannot understand. I see myself as a robot. Need to wake up early. Go to work. Have lunch. Go home in the evening. Go in the mall on weekends. I look at my colleagues and some times I do envy them. How contented they are with their lives, but sometimes I wonder too if they do have other dreams? How can they be completely happy in this place? Do I just need a break? Or I am really tired with the situation? In just a few days I will go on mini vacation. Hopefully I'll find some answers too..

Do having a husband/wife is the most important thing?

One of the reasons why I am not using my facebook account anymore (aside from it is getting so boring and nosy) is people that I met in elementary, high school, college, work or neighbors and even some relatives do keep asking around the same questions. One of them is "why you are still single?" answering them will just encourage them to ask more questions. I stopped talking to my colleagues too as to block them from asking me personal questions.

When I joined the company some 6 years ago, most of us are all single then one by one all of them got married. I think right now there are only 2 of us who are not yet married. Some colleagues are not yet married but they do have kids. I am sick and tired of answering their questions. They should not even asking me about stuff that I do not want to talk about.

WHY DO THEY WANT TO KNOW ANYWAY? It is okay if they do care but most of the time they just want something to talk about. Of course, nobody wants to be lonely. Nobody wants to grow old alone. All of us are waiting/wishing/hoping to find that perfect someone. But do all of us are meant to find that perfect someone? Do all of us have will find our soulmate? I do not know how many times I discussed with my very close friends that at this age it is hard to find "real man".

French, why you so hard to learn?

I love hearing French language.
I love watching French Films.
I want to go to France.
I wish I can find a job in France.

But then, learning the French language is so hard.
Unlike Spanish or Italian.
The pronounciation is entirely different.
No matter how many movies I watch I just can't get it.
Maybe if I will live there then I'll be forced to really learn.

French movies that I'll never forget TAXI [1 to 4] and The extra ordinary adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec both were from Luc Besson. The first french director/writer I have known after watching Professional (Leon) of Jean Reno & Natalie Portman.

Well. I just hope one day, I will be able to visit the "romantic city" of Paris. Till then...

Tourist Visa in Italy only 2 days processing

Yes! That is how long it will take for you to have your tourist visa in Italy.
I applied thru VFS in Dubai and I got the surprised of my life when I got the visa in only 2 DAYS! They told me to wait at least 2 weeks. All over the internet people says 2 to 3 weeks so when I received the message after 2 days negative thoughts/feelings came over me instead of good ones. Somehow this boost my confidence; next time around no more fears/worries for me, if I want to apply for a visa in another country. I hope this experience of mine will encourage all of you who wants to apply to just go ahead and apply for it. The granted me 20 days of tourist visa :)
