Love

"Whenever I watch romantic movies, witness couples kiss and make up, listen to love songs.. I smile and feel good 'cause I know that love still works, if not for me, at least to others." - Ally McBeal

Crimen Ferpecto [2004 Spain]

Friday night was our Spanish Night. Our dinner was seafood paella. My "special friend" told me that in Spain ages ago, seafood paella was for poor people while meat paella was for rich people since they were the ones who can afford to buy meat. But now, it is the other way around. Seafood are pricier than meat. So for me, eating seafood paella is a luxury. I guess Seafood Paella deserves another entry together with recipe and photo.

As it was a Spanish night, I have chose to watch a Spanish movie also. El Crimen Ferpecto, it was not misspelled. It was done intentionally. In the movie Rafael was the lover boy of the Yeyo department store. The typical playboy who won't settle down. As he said that he loves all women, well almost as he won't even look at the girls like Lourdes. But alas, with a twist of fate he ended up marrying the woman he doesn't even like a bit.

I know, I can never be a movie reviewer as I lack the skills in writing. But just try to watch whatever film I am suggesting if you want to laugh and see something different once in a while. I am suggesting movies that did not come from Hollywwod as movies from Hollywood are everywhere.

Ciao!

The sea of soaps

Photo From: http://nomoredirtylooks.com
A friend told me, I'm not getting any younger anymore. At this age I shouldn't be experimenting anymore. Especially on my skin. Especially on the soap. What I was doing was if the soap is on sale or affordable and smells good or I love the color or it is something new I'll go ahead and use it. But then since I'm on my early 30's now I have to be extra careful. Better to be safe than sorry.

So over the weekend, I was in a Filipino grocery looking around for a brand of soap that would be perfect for me. And boy, it wasn't easy. Can't remember anymore how many brands I have seen. Some I know. Some I don't. All they all seems to be promising one thing. TO MAKE YOUR SKIN WHITER. Nah, I don't believe such thing. There was a time in my life that I even paid a fortune for a skin peeling but nothing happened. Lesson learned. That was 8 sessions only. Anyhoo, I am not really after to whiten my skin. If possible just make it even. But if it won't then no worries. But then again no harm in trying right?

I have chosen RDL since I had been seeing this brand as long as I can remember. CY Gabriel and Dr. Kauffman were available too but not sure until when they will be available on that grocery which happens to be very far from my location. Then another problem was RDL has so many variants. So I ended up buying 3 variants. Tawas soap, Bleaching Soap and Kalamansi with Honey - the common denominator all of the have this on the front package that says it will whiten your skin. And I am interested in Placenta too as I read somewhere that it will tighten your skin. You know as a person grow older the skin will somehow start to sag.

I have been looking around for reviews for those soap but to no avail. Maybe one of these days, I'll post about RDL again with photos. Will try to write a review if I can or possible.I mean I started using them only a few days ago. Wonder what are the thoughts of Filipinas about this brand?
