You know why I am so into Japanese products? They seem to be very advance. And of course trustworthy. I can always go to a Chinese salon and have my hair rebond for only 200.00AED but then because of the hair blower I get a massive headache that can last up to 2 days. So I am thinking of just doing it myself at home where I do not need to use a hair blower and let my hair dry naturally. 

I am not aiming for that extremely straight hair anyway. Just enough to make my hair look slimmer. Instead of the usual buhaghag. That's all for today. I will surely share over here as soon as I experienced the wonders of Japanese hair treatment.

This is said the be the world's first washable phone. I badly wanted this but I know that is not possible. There was a point in my life that I want all my gadgets to be waterproof. When that time will be?

Turning Red

Well this is not a beauty blog.
I'm just a simple office worker who happened to be addicted to skin care products since 2014. And one day I woke up that I have way too many in my stash that I have to put a stop to it. Sadly most of my purchases were just a waste of money. And so to document the products I used and if I'm happy with it I started writing an almost daily post of Empty Bottle post.

I'm trying hard to finish off my stash. To have a clutter free space. A space without a mess is somehow related into having a peace of mind. Pleasing to the eyes. Japanese Sweets

I do not know what it is called. But then one of the sweets I found in Dean's Fujiya earlier this year. If I will be able to go to the said shop before the year ends that I might shop all the sweets I can find just to taste them. Crazy but I feel like it is my last chance to do so. As I am afraid on what 2018 might entails to all of us. But then I highly recommend all the Japanese sweets anyway. Just eat in moderation so you won't get sick in the future.

Thai Tom Yum

Another photo stuck in my draft. Ah there are least 400 of them anyway. On the photo are mango sticky rice and tom yum soup. From Tom Yum in Dubai Dragon Mart. Prices are right. Food are excellent. But I would not dare to go not unless it is winter. Location is extremely hot.

Korean Beauty Products ♥

Hello! Been posting various photo as I am deleting them from my PC at work. What happened was I take photos of just about anything then saving them at the said PC. But then since I am no longer sure until when will I be in the company that I started cleaning it up. I mean personal files and photos like this one.

Back on the photo. One item is Aloe Vera Gel from Nature Republic the said brand is from Korea and not yet available in UAE market. But do not worry there is now a shop in DFC called Mumuso and they also have their own version of aloe vera gel. Sometimes Daiso has it too. But Daiso UAE is not stocking up much when it comes to beauty products. I cannot comment yet on how the product is as I am not yet using it. One of the many items I hoarded in the past. I will be doing my Pan Project until 2018!

Second item is from The Faceshop. It is called Fresh Milk Cream and as you can see not yet opened. I bought it on impulse just because it was on sale. Again I kept it and it belongs to the items that will be in Pan Project 2018. I was a hoarder. I am a recovering hoarder. 2017 I still made a lot of purchase. But at least it is a great improvement comparing to 2016 or 2015 especially in 2014! I am still very far from my goal of having my items fit into 2 suitcases but the more I declutter or pan project the more I see that it is possible. Ciao!

This photo has been sitting in my draft for such a long time and I do not know why. This was the last time I visited Geant. And now it is Geant no more. Al Futtaim purchased it and now it is Carrefour.

It is not fresh. It is frozen but heck frozen is better than nothing. I got it from Hanarum Korean Grocery Store in Karama. 500grams for 25.00AED. Sharing for those who are interested.

Reminder for 2018

Durum

When I was in Turkey I would usually buy a snack from this shop. Durum is their version of Shawarma. And I was able to eat it a lot from different parts of Istanbul. So I was a bit surprised upon learning what the Turkish Shawarma being sold in the Philippines. I swear it was very far from the Durum I used to eat in Turkey. Ours is a very 'sosyal' version mashed up of Middle East and Turkey's shawarma. But I am not complaining though.

Empty Bottle #148: Kera Hair 🌸

Bought this on Carrefour just because it was on sale. And again as always I do not have an in depth review. I am just glad whenever I post an empty bottle as it means one less item inside the house. And the items I am posting were all from back in my hoarding days.

I am not happy with all the hair products I used. As my hair is quite different. I can use any shampoo and any brand of shampoo gives the same results. Cleanses the hair but making it stiff so using a conditioner for me is a must. But then the only conditioner that helps my hair is Cream Silk. Yes I also tried various brand of conditioner in the past. And since I have extremely thick hair that I also used different brands of hair care just like this Kera Hair Treatment in the photo. Again none satisfies me.

Hair rebond can give me a headache for up to 3 days because I cannot take the heat from the hair blower but then afterwards it gives me months of having a thin hair which is all I ever wanted. And any other products in the market like Kera Hair Treatment cannot give that. It tames the fly away hair but the hair will still look as thick as ever. So no more hair products for me. I wasted enough money in the past.

Hello!!!!!!! I am back again in being a Purging Queen because in just a few days the month will end and we will enter 2018. I wish to be fully done with all the decluttering. So I keep on looking around as there might be useless items I missed. Like these sachets or envelopes. When I made the online orders in the past. It has been a month since my last online order. There's no point in keeping things like that. So goodbye! Adios! Sayonara!

Goodbye #188: Daiso Charcoal Cleanser 🌸

Daiso is a Japanese shop that the idea is just like the dollar shop in USA. It is available in UAE and used to be very affordable. And me being a hoarder, used to be a customer. I used to do Daiso hauls and does not even matter if I badly needed the items I purchased or not. When I have first seen the Daiso Charcoal Cleansing Cream I bought at least 6 pieces without thinking twice. As an end result? For how many years I managed to finish only 3 tubes of it. As being a hoarder that I was, I have almost all the known makeup remover. Even though I am not using makeup on daily basis. So as of December 2017, I am getting rid of the 3 tubes left.

I am not sure if this product is still available but in UAE not anymore. And as of the charcoal it has been said to be good in our skin. I believe them. Daiso Charcoal Cleansing Cream is a good makeup remover. But no matter how good the product is I cannot finish it for the simple reason that I have way too many. 

For the last 3 days I had been very busy decluttering the PC I have at work and at the same time my space in the tiny flat. I mean I had been decluttering for the last one year and half but only now that I felt the urgency to finish it as soon as possible. As my goal is that everything I own will fit into 2 luggages only. End of the year there will be mass termination across the country. And so for sure mass termination of my stuff will help me in the long run. That's all thanks for dropping by.

He's not just into you

Kolosh Purple Shoes 💕

Hi there! Not sure if I shared this before but since it is in my draft (300+ items in there) instead of deleting I thought why not just post it anyway? I am in no way associated in Safeer Mall or in any brands of Brazilian shoes. But I will always recommend them. This shoes in the photo is not mine. I bought it on sale for only 20.00AED and has given it as a graduation gift for my cousin. I myself has many Brazilian brands of shoes through the years of my UAE life. 

I love Safeer Mall because I usually find items that you will not find in big malls like City Centre. And items that I usually find are like gem in the most unexpected places. But sadly those gems does not last long as there is no support from the public. People would rather buy expensive items from big malls made of cheap materials. Sad fact of life. 

Example #1: They used to sell Sacoo Amsterdam Leather Bag but it has been pulled out as no one buys them. We all know that leather bags are meant to last forever right? People spend 300 and above in shops like Guess, Aldo and the likes even though they sell items made of PU or man made leather. Compare those items in a leather bag and see which one will still be usable after a decade. Some people opted for the cheapest but them compute how much they spend for a cheap bags in a year and compare to just one leather bag from the said shop. Do you know that leather items being sold in big shops would cost 1,000AED and above?

Example #2: They used to offer Bartz footwear. It is a UK brand of handmade leather footwear. All were made in EU. Again it has been pulled out from the market. Because no one buys them. Bartz offers a genuine leather loafers for only 270.00AED whereas in big malls you will find them in a shop like Gucci which would cost you around 1,000.00AED or more. Do I need to discuss that good thing about leather shoes? My leather boots from Timberland back in 2012 is still alive until today. That I am able to passed it down to my younger sister. 

As of Kolosh I am not sure if the brand has been pulled out from Safeer Mall. But they still carry a lot of Brazilian brands and I hope they will continue to do so. Those Brazilian shoes may not all be made of genuine leather but if I were to compare those shoes say from Pay Less they are way better in many ways. Imagine this a black China made shoes in Pay Less would cost me around 200.00AED while the Brazil made shoes in Safeer Mall would cost me 75.00AED only or less if they are on sale. So tell me again why Brazilian shoes are not widely available in the country?

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not in the mood but I am writing a post anyway. I found these fish eggs in Ajman Fish Market. I cannot remember how much per kilo. Also I do not know from which fish it came from. A friend of mine enjoys it a lot. But me on the other hand detest it. Sharing the information anyway for those who are interested. If my memory serves me right, it is only 15.00AED per kilo?

Throwback: Clutter

Photos were taken a year ago. When I was just starting to declutter the room seriously. What was on the photos were not all of it yet. Just the tip of the iceberg. See the chair? There was a time that even that chair was no longer visible and usable due to the clutter. But seeing my room now, there has been a huge improvement between now and then. Getting rid of an item helped a lot albeit slow.

How can take take their OOTD in the mirror and at the same time show their faces properly. Been trying since I started using smartphone but to no avail. So all my OOTD photos are like this.

I still have so many posts and photos in my draft and I do not have time nowadays to sort them out. I am busy in so many things and when it comes to social media I am focusing on my IG and Facebook account. I mean my phones alone has 8,000 photos! And so I am posting them before deleting them. Also sending them to my email as a backup copy. I no longer want to save them in my external drive. As I cannot even finish decluttering my external drives! Anyway the month is about to end and I am not yet done with my decluttering and pan project. I started this last June 2016 and still very much ongoing because of my hoarding phase from 2014 to 2016. And even the earlier years, I was not yet a hoarder but impulsive buyer. Due to those mistakes that I still have a long way to go

I have noticed that out of all the posts a lot of people are visiting Where to find Essence cosmetics in UAE? Admittedly I stopped buying and I am just using now whatever I have from my hoarding phase but even so, if there is any update I will do so to help out the ladies looking for it. And if time will permit I will gladly share the Essence and Catrice cosmetics I am using. Next that quite a few people visited was discounted clothes at Splash in Dubai Outlet Mall. Until now they still have the promo and I do not know until when the promo will run as you all know 2018 VAT will be fully implemented in UAE and for sure a lot of goods will be affected by it. Again I do not shop anymore but then if there's anything I can share (information) to help out other people I will do so. Why not.

I am still not as frugal and minimalist as I wanted to be. I am still a consumer. I just do not hoard anymore. I do buy only the items/brands I really want instead of just grabbing all the cheap things I could get my hands on. The only makeup that I am still crazy about is lipstick. As you can see my latest collection was Catrice. But not sure anymore for 2018 if I can still collect such. I really dreading the coming of VAT. So for the mean time, that's all.
